Poetry and music have always evoked emotional responses in their patterns of rhyme or rhythm. Both remind me of my mother, a professional violinist and singer. Dedication to a healthy heart, to human bonding, and to platonic love is important and shows how much we care. Here are a few examples I’ve chosen to express affairs of the heart:
A friendship between two people who hold mutual affection for each other can be seen at your favorite café:
Age is not a factor:
Having a teddy bear doesn’t mean you’re immature, but sometimes they’re the only ones that don’t laugh when you cry:
Valentine’s Day symbols used today include the heart-shaped outline, doves, the figure of the winged cupid, chocolates, and red roses. And, of course, the mass-produced greeting cards.
Then there’s the love of our pets. Shilo, my little mixed terrier, came to us two years ago when our daughter Carla saved her from going into a shelter because her owner was unable to keep her.
Our daughter Krista sent us this adorable pair to show how much she missed us.
What touches your heart?
