Rolling down the road

Posted on June 4, 2014

By car, plane, or boat, my trips often turn into research. Not that that’s always my initial intention, but somehow I end up with pen and pad in my hand. Here are a few photos from some of those trips:

My third visit to Martha’s Vineyard Island was for research. Here’s a look at the Edgartown-Chappaquiddick On Time Ferry:

And a trip to Hiroshima, Japan, where daughter Carla taught English (yes, that’s me):

There have been multiple road trips to Ashland, Oregon, where Carla lived and where I got the idea for my Shakespeare in the Vineyard mystery series:

My friend and I hike most weekends at local, state and regional parks, like Brushy Peak in Livermore, Treasure Island/San Francisco, and the Pinnacles:

Left Coast Crime 2012 conference was held in Cleveland, Ohio. I combined that trip with visits to family (Aunt Carole’s cottage), and friends in the Columbus area:

Left Coast Crime 2014 conference was held in beautiful Monterey, CA:
